Mike Moynahan Honored as 2005 PCS Regional Clubmaker of the Year

Lahaina/Kula, Maui, Hawaii (May 9, 2005) – Mike Moynahan, owner of Kama’aina
Clubmakers in Kula, was recently named 2005 PCS Regional Clubmaker of the Year
by the Professional CLUBMAKERS’ Society (PCS). A PCS Certified “Class A”
Clubmaker, Moynahan attended the ceremonies during the 14th Annual PCS
International Symposium and Expo in Louisville, Kentucky. He was one of six
finalists who received regional honors for 2005.
The PCS Clubmaker of the Year program seeks to recognize outstanding
professional clubmakers for excellence in craftsmanship, customer service and
contributions to furthering the clubmaking profession. Nominees are welcome from
membership with the final selection made by a committee of previous clubmakers
of the year.
This is the second clubmaking honor awarded to Mike Moynahan this year; he was
recently titled the 2004-2005 Hawaii Clubmaker of the Year by the Golf
Clubmakers Association (GCA). Previously, he was named 2002-2003 Western Region
Clubmaker of the Year.

ABOUT PROFESSIONAL CLUBMAKERS’ SOCIETY (PCS)

ABOUT MIKE MOYNAHAN
Having been in the business for ten years, Mike Moynahan has teed-off with much
success in the national and international golf community. At his shop in
Upcountry Maui, Mike custom builds and fits clubs for any golfer, professional
or novice. As he puts it, “You don’t buy a $1,000 suit without having it
tailored.” Kama’aina Clubmakers is a PCS and GCA certified club repair shop, the
SST PURE Hawaii Licensee and the only Certified Rifle Center in Hawaii.
Kama’aina Clubmakers performs repairs for players and tour representatives at
highly acclaimed tournaments such as the Mercedes Championship (1999-2004) and
the EMC Ka’anapali Classic (Senior PGA Tour 1999, 2000), as well as the Kapalua
Lincoln Mercury Tournament (1996, 1997). In conjunction with Roy’s Restaurant
staff, in 1998 Mike Moynahan established and still currently co-chairs the Roy’s
Restaurants Tournaments benefiting Imua Family Services (Easter Seal of Maui).
He is an avid community supporter and also simply enjoys the game – as does his

Koele on Lanai.
